It's been a LONG time since I've posted a recipe recommendation, but this week I cooked something that totally deserves some hype, Alton Brown's Turkey Tikka Masala.
I'm a big fan of AB, and have been for a long time. I'm rarely disappointed with his recipes, but this one really blew us away. Both Super Spouse Karen and I said "oh my god this is good" multiple times. Seriously...multiple times.
I used chicken thighs rather than turkey in this, but I don't think that makes much difference. A couple of things that I think totally do make a difference are a) making your own garam masala from scratch as AB recommends, and b) the long, slow reduction of the tomatoes to intensify the flavors. #homechefskiss
I also whipped up some naan to go with this, which was appreciated by all. And look at that, you just got a free extra recipe!
