Like most real estate agents, I spend a lot of time in my car. That means I spend a lot of time listening to things. Given the depressing nature of the news currently, and my short amount of tolerance for local radio advertisments, I find that radio just isn't always my best option. So the advent of the age of podcasts has been a godsend. History, science, comedy...I rarely am stumped for an option.
This made me think that a lot of people I know might also be looking for interesting podcast options, so I thought "hey, I should do a weekly recommendation on my blog!" This idea combined nicely with my desire to get this blog back on a regular posting basis. So, my weekly podcast recommendation is born!
There were any number of options for a first recommendation, but I decided to go with a pod that is brand new, Patented: History of Inventions. Hosted by the History Hit network (heads up...this will likely not be the last HH podcast I recommend), this new pod is hosted by British actor and director Dallas Campbell. Releasing episodes twice weekly, it consists of Dallas interviewing experts and historians about the stories behind various innovations and inventions. So far, they've everything from genetic engineering to condoms, so they are throwing a wide net! Interested? You can find it on your favorite podcast platform or here.
