It's always a great and gratifying day when you help close on a house. Especially when that house is the first one purchased by at least one of the buyers. I love the look on the face of that first time buyer. It's almost invariably a mix of surprise and joy. "I actually bought a house?!" is what you can almost hear them thinking.
It's even better, though, when those buyers are your family. Last Friday I had the true thrill of helping my sister Jenny and her husband Jason close on their first house as a married couple (Jenny had owned before but Jason never has). It was a tough search, and there were some challenges in getting the deal closed. But those things made Friday all the sweeter.
Congratulations guys. I can't wait to see the home you build!
NOTE: Yes, Jason's hat is totally sweet. And yes, Jenny is a nurse. Remember to thank all the nurses and other health professionals in your life today and tomorrow and everyday. They are doing amazing work right now helping us get through this pandemic. Thanks to you Jenny, and to all the others doing what you do.
