Thursday housing highlights are back on Thursday! Sorry for the small blip last week; life happens sometimes. But this week's list again features some really nice properties for under $235K. It also highlights the potential for affordability if you are willing to look outside the Madison-metro area to some further (but still not very far) communities. My search this week popped up a couple of really nice, affordable properties in Waterloo this week, for example. Waterloo, located just east of Marshall (and home to Trek Bicycles!) is conveniently located to I-94, and about a 25 minute commute to Madison's east side. Communities like Waterloo are worth considering for first time buyers who are having trouble competing for properties in the intense Madison market. Some other places to consider are the aformentioned Marshall, Stoughton, Edgerton, Lodi, and Belleville.
